My art movement was surrealism. It originated in Europe and it went mainly from the 1920s to the 1960s. Many famous artists came out of this movement, such as Salvador Dali(who was most well known for his "Persistence Of Memory" piece), and rene magritte(who had many great pieces, but "Son Of Man" is one of the better well known ones of his". For my inspiration from surrealism that led to my Mickey Mouse-Umbrella was that I noticed some pieces had lots of large animals, so at first his nose was just going into an elephant trunk, but the page was left really empty, so I added an umbrella at the bottom and a background. I used colored pencils and charcoal pencils for this. |
